 Best Place on the Ship?

Over the prow of the Royal Clipper, above the figurehead, a bow net enabled us to fly above the waves, looking down at dolphins playing in the wake caused by the bow and watching yellow turtles float by.

In our imagination, the mid-Atlantic would be cold, windy and wet. Well, this was the opposite. Balmy, warm and hard to comprehend. We are well wrapped up because of the wind caused by the the ship's speedy eleven knots and the movement of the bow cutting into the waves. We also needed extra cushioning, as the knots in the bow net are the same knots in the rest of the rigging. Large, hard and not comfy to sit on.

But what a way to travel across the ocean, and endless horizon!
